I'm in a 12 team H2H Dynasty League, where we keep all of our MLB players and have 7 player minor league rosters. Once a Minor Leaguer is called up, that spot is left empty until the following year, when we have a draft. Players must be called up after 130ABs, or 50IP's. Non-professional players cannot be owned, any player unsigned by a club before our Minor League Draft is ineligible until the following year.
Normal 5x5 cats with added walks for hitters and K/BB for pitchers.
We are in the middle of our minor league slow draft and I just selected Gary Brown and someone else really wants him, I was proposed this trade. I get: Matt Holiday Nelson Cruz Minor League Pick (Would be 2 picks from now)
I Give: Delmon Young Mitch Moreland Gary Brown
Seems like a no brainer to me, I lose for the future, but even that is just a maybe, because it's 3 guys who haven't proven anything yet. I would get back a pick similar to what I used to trade Brown, not as good as Brown, who is a stud, but the guys left are the likes of Brad Peacock, Will Middlebrooks, Matt Harveu, Willy Peralta, AJ Cole.
Here's my team:
My MLB Team: C. Alex Avila 1B. Miguel Cabrera 2B. Howard Kendrick 3B. Pablo Sandoval SS. Dee Gordon MI. Bonifacio CI. Paul Golfschmidt LF. Delmon Young CF. Shane Victorino RF. Giancarlo Stanton OF. Nick Markakis OF. Mitch Moreland Util. James Loney Bench. Ryan Howard Bench. Bryce Harper
SP: Jon Lester Cliff Lee Zack Greinke Anibal Sanchez Ervin Santana Phil Hughes Chad Billingsley Ricky Nolasco
RP: Ryan Madson Brian Wilson Chris Peres Huston Street Matt Capps Brett Myers
Minor League Team: Billy Hamilton Carlos Martinez Nick Castellanos Zach Wheeler Gary Brown
I would do this for sure. I dont think youre even giving up that much. Brown is the only guy that I really like that you are losing. I would do this if you were only getting 1 player and a pick. Yes do it.
Keep C Napoli 1 Butler/Davis/Hosmer/Dunn 2 Young/Utley/Zobrist 3 Moustakas SS Bonifacio/E Cabrera OF Grandy/Choo/Reddick/Kubel SP Anderson/C Lee/Oswalt Haren/Moore/A Sanchez RP Soriano/Myers/Johnson/Aceves/Parnell
I've accepted it and my best friend and Co-LM, who we have an agreement of no veto's unless collusion, is wanting a veto. We're leaving it to League vote, but if it is vetoed it would be SHADY.
In our 6 years of two different leagues we've never once had a veto. We've always used the same thinking of "only veto for collusion or trades that look like one person wasn't thinking". This trade is obviously not collusion, and the other owner is getting younger all over the board, so it makes some sense for him.
We've had our fair share of bad trades, so this being vetoed would just urk me the wrong way.
I had a feeling that would happen. Every league has its own standards, and you would know your league better than any poster here. This is very lopsided in your favor, but I understand that in a deep dynasty league you should have an extremely high threshold before you veto a trade.
That being said, I think you should do whatever you need to to get this trade through if its going to get vetoed can you throw in a pick or another player? If so, do it.
Yeah, I am hoping that it doesn't get vetoed by the fact it is the weekend and people may be less inclined to check. Plus we have only a day to vote to veto.
If it is vetoed I will give him that pick, because really I think it's just as fair if he keeps that pick. But I wasn't going to turn it down either.
Bud that is so lopsided I'd call for a veto too. Veto only for collusion but come on, who would be that dumb to give up prospects for nothing in return for MLB talent...that's terrible good for you though.

The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
