I would definitely go with Hosmer. For one season maaaybe Holliday. But Hosmer is the way to go.

Depth at each position is:
1b butler, youkilis, cuddyer, young, berkman, Sandoval, morse, and so on
2b Cuddyer, utley, Cabrera, uggla, young, etc.
3b Young, Sandoval, youkilis, Lawrie, aram, Etc.

Theoretically I'd like to get hosmer, Sandoval, Lawrie or youkilis, and one other from this list and grab an outfielder that's young and has potential

So you have more depth at 1B, although a lot of it is the multi-position players. Personally, I'd be looking at Sandoval before Hosmer. I might even consider Uggla first given the relative lack of depth at 2B.

I'm not a fan of Young at this point, it's not going to get better. In the end, I think I would rank them as follows:

Pablo, Uggla/Hosmer, Morse, Lawrie
