Who's my last Keeper: D. Wright or M. Holliday? WHIR

Its down to these two. 6 batting cats: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG and OPS.

They are both pretty close, Wright having Position and SB advantage and Holliday has AVG and OPS in his favor.

leave a link and Ill try to help. ;-D

I prefer Holliday. I'm probably in the minority as I think Wright is being somewhat overrated and Holliday is being somewhat underrated.

Normally, I would go with position scarcity (Wright), but the real David Wright has not stood up in several years. Steals are nice, but they diminish with age. In an OBP league, Holliday seems like a more stable investment.

In a normal 5x5 league I would want Wright as I am looking for him to bounce back. He's been inconsistent the last few years but he is only one year removed from hitting 29 HR's and stealing 19 bases. Throw in that Wright is two years younger and plays a scarcer position and I like Wright.

However, in an OPS league I think I have to go Holliday, its another category where Holliday will probably significantly out perform D. Wright.

09 10 11
Wright - .837, .856, .771

Holliday - .909, .922, .912

Wright....
Should lower his Ks and improve BA from last year as long as he doesnt become completely fixated on the shorter fence and try for nothing but HRs. Should be good value this season.
