Keeper Spot

Postby lotsofluck » Thu Mar 08, 2012 11:37 pm

This is a league I took over a team for but I myself never paid attention to it. I didn't even realize until a few minutes ago it was a keeper league (the other owner drafted and quit). The league is a 10 team H2H on ESPN with 3 keepers. I really lookd at the team and couldn't beleive it. I have Matt Kemp AND Miguel Cabrera. For my 3rd keeper do I keep Reyes or Wright. Appreciate the help.

(sidenote: In addition to those 4 guys the team also had Zim, Rollins, Tabata and Maybin but finished 8th because the only pitcher was CJ Wilson and the rest of the team sucked.)

Reyes, you are going to want to slide Cabrera in at 3B,

Both have injury issues. But, what the the guy said about positional balance-- that.

I would keep Reyes as well. I think Wright will have a good year but already injured knocks him down a tad.

People really need to stop thinking of Cabrera as a 3B. He doesn't have the eligibility there yet and you don't know when it will happen. It could be weeks or it could be months and if you go into the season thinking he will be your 3B this year, then you are setting your team up for problems down the road. Next year when he actually gets 3B eligibility that will be different but at this point it is all speculation.
