Gallardo or Bumgarner

It's a 10-team, standard 5x5 roto keeper league (10 keepers per year, no restrictions)

I have both Gallardo and Bumgarner, but I only have room to keep 1 of these guys.....so I want to try to trade the other one.


Which guy should I keep and which guy should I try to trade? Remember, it is a keeper league.

Post your entire roster. Maybe you can keep both. I know you said you felt you only had room for 1, but often times that isn't the case.

As you can see, I have 15 legit keeper-level guys for only 10 spots. And I don't think there is any way I can keep 4 -SP's.....no matter how tempting it is with the group I have.

I am trying to make a trade featuring Phillips and either MadBum or Gallardo (and possibly a 3rd piece or some draft pick swapping) to grab either Cano or Pedroia.

So that is why I am asking which you would recommend I keep and which i trade.

p.s. Don't worry, there is no way i am considering holding onto Storen. But he is a top-100 guy ....and borderline keeper..... who I might be able to throw into a potential trade.

interesting mix of keepers you've suggested.

Keeping Crawford is a bit surprising...

...it also goes against the standard "hitters over pitchers" mantra for selecting keepers...

...I don't see how I can drop Phillips....he is consistently solid and plays a very thin position. I would probably end up with Ackley or Kelly Johnson (I doubt Phillips would drop to me with 8th pick in 1st round)

---Similarly, if I drop Konerko I would be lucky to end up with the likes of Mark Reynolds......but I probably end up with a guy like Freddy Freeman.

---And keeping 5 OF's is a bold move. I feel like that would leave me with too many holes to fill going into the draft....taking away flexibility.....I would have to make all my picks based on need instead of taking "best available" in the first few rounds.

Konerko isn't a option. You can find guys like Smoak, Davis, Freeman in draft.

If you don't want Napoli, i guess you could go Phillips.
I wouldn't keep both Crawford and Jennings, since they are basically the same type of player, speed, with a little pop.

Gallardo is the better pitcher but I would trade whichever one you can get more for.
