$270 cap for starting line-up (22 player in starting line-up including 9 pitchers). Bench is a draft where every player taken is $2.
The league has crazy inflation due to players being kept. i.e. Pujols is available this year and will likely go for between $55-$60.
I can keep up to 8 players (players increase in cost by $5 every year you keep them)
Here are my best options:
Adrian Gonzalez (34) Ryan Braun (33) MIguel Cabrera (44) Jacoby Ellsbury (36) Carlos Gonzalez (20) Alex Gordon (6) Ben Zobrist (18) Starlin Castro (18) Shin-Soo Choo (17) Brett Lawrie (29) - We are near Toronto and he will go for atleast this in the auction (other good 3b's are being kept) Bryce Harper (8) Mike Moustakas (6) Kelly Johnson (13) Dan Uggla (30) Josh Johnson (20) Matt Garza (10)
I'll let people give feedback before commenting on what I am thinking.

I'd take this core into your draft. No need for Lawrie with MCab gaining 3b eligibility. Scoop up Chipper toward the end on the cheap until he's able to play there for you.

castro, choo, or garza for the last spot. castro's value goes down in an OPS league, Choo is a solid option but you already have 3 OF, garza is a decent price and would save you the most money. you won't have much money left to spend but holy crap is that a lot of talent all for reasonable prices, especially if inflation is as bad as you say.

+2, not sure about Chipper but otherwise I concur.
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray

I'm not overly familiar with auction leagues but I think I would skip on Ellsbury if your looking to save money. I have a hard time seeing him have a repeat to what he did last year where the other expensive guys are more solid options. I also like Garza at $10, I think that could have a good pay off this year

oops - I would probably take Harper off of my list then. Obviously low dollar amount for huge upside but if this is a team that wants to compete this year than paying $8 for a guy likely to come in mid-season may not be the best option.
