Harrison, Ogando or neither

Postby RogerThat » Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:12 pm

Competitive keeper league al only salaries increase by $3 each year
Full roster plus 6 minor leaguers per team x 9 teams
$260 salary, 5 x 5

Have both Harrison and Ogando from Texas for $6 this year
Was originally thinking of keeping both but given Ogando being pushed to middle relief I am now leaning toward keeping Harrison and dropping Ogando

League values starting pitching quite highly
Any thoughts? Not just for this season but with future years plus $3 thought of as well

Thanks for your time

Not seeing the value for a reliever.

So drop Ogando but keep Harrison?

Unless you are in some sort of league that rewards middle men, I would just let him go. I can't imagine anyone paying more for a non-starter like Ogando and middle men can usually be had on the wire during the season in all but the deepest of leagues. Spend the money elsewhere imo.

Harrison I would keep in AL only even though I am not a fan. At $6 it is not a bad pickup though I think he is going to regress some.

Harrison's stuff is intriguing to me. He posted fairly modest numbers for a lefty that can rush it up there in the mid 90's. I like him better for this season, but I would bank on him not costing you more than the $6 anyway. I would chance it and throw both back. Maybe you can find a better buy.

I agree. I think you can get either of them cheaper than $6 at auction.
