King Felix for Josh Hamilton? WHIR

Postby BronXBombers51 » Wed Mar 07, 2012 12:19 pm

12 teams - Rotisserie - 6x6 (normal + OPS & Losses)

Must keep between 4 and 8 players. Here's my keepers as of now.

C-
1B- Miguel Cabrera
2B- Ian Kinsler
3B- Pablo Sandoval
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
OF- Adam Jones
OF-
OF-
Utl-
Utl-

SP- Felix Hernandez
SP- CC Sabathia
RP-
RP-
P- Matt Cain
P-
P-
P-

Was offered Josh Hamilton for Felix Hernandez (he might want a late draft pick too.) I can afford to lose a SP and can use an OF. Worth it?

It's not a bad deal, about a $4 difference with similar but not exactly the same stats in another league. Make sure you get a decent backup with all the time he's sure to miss

In a keeper no.
I would do it for Cain or CC though.

Yes you can afford to lose King Felix, but I wouldn't give him up. Counter his offer CC for Hamilton. I wouldn't want to give up a young ace like Felix for an older but productive OF. OF value takes a bit of a hit since you only start 3 and you use a bit of pitching.

King Felix for Josh Hamilton? WHIR

He has Andrew McCutchen too, who I prefer over Hamilton. Would you give Felix for him? (Don't know if he'd accept, just speculating.) Or stick with Felix no matter what and only shop CC/Cain?

I'd do either trade.

I agree. You're set at SP and adding a bat of equal or greater value.
