Travis Lee went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and Brent Abernathy Had 2 hits and 2 RBI as TB beat Detroit 5-4.
Jason Standrich (1-0) started for the Rays. He pitched 2.2 innings, giving up 3 ER on 4 hits and 3 BB. Steve Parris pitched 2.2 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 2. Travis Harper pitched the 9th and picked up his first save of the spring.
Up next for the Rays will be the Reds, where southpaw Jim Parque will get the start.
