Trade Help: Kemp's Value?

Postby Hummus » Tue Mar 06, 2012 8:55 pm

Hey, Guys:

Our 12 team 4 keeper, 1 ML 12x12 just dropped to four keepers, and my with current selection of keepers getting a bit rough (Kemp, Holliday, Sandoval, Posey, Haren, Harper) I am entertaining offers for Kemp. I am trying to determine his value, and so far I have an offer of Teixeira and Reyes for Kemp and Harper. We are dropping to 3 keepers next year, and I am hoping to trade for Wright in the near future as well.

So, is this a legit trade:

Kemp/Harper for Teixeira/Reyes? He also is dangling Felix Hernandez my way as well. Should I bother asking for all three?

Thoughts? WHIR

Why would you trade quality for quantity when you already have 4 very good keepers? Stick with what you have and keep Kemp, Holliday, Pablo, and Haren.

You definitely should not be looking to deal Kemp, especially not in a league with only 4 keepers.

That said, I'm not a fan of Holliday at all, so if you can flip him for someone else, I'd explore that. Maybe Holliday and Posey would get you a top 5 1B.

With so few keepers you need to keep your best guys. Keep Kemp and feel fortunate to have him.
