I would take #4 b/c it gives you a shot at an elite like pujols, MCab, Kemp, Braun, Bautista, Tulo. The #10-11 is tempting b/c you can get more solid depth but I think i'd take the highest pick. the 10-17 just seems kinda crappy position.
If this is a returning keeper league, and you have a strong group of keepers, I'd take the #4 pick.
If this is a new league, then I'm not sure what kind of situation you've got going on that gives you this kind of choice....but in that case I'd take the 10-11 picks. You'll be able to build a better core with that set.
And depending on the circumstances, I don't entirely dislike getting 4 top 25-picks either.
Just seems like not enough information is being presented here....
Thanks for all the help so far guys! Great feedback! I had the #4 pick. I traded #4 and #24 away for the #10 and #11 picks. Other than that, I keep my original draft position.
I could cancel that trade because the guy I did it with likes the idea of 10/11 too. We are both relatively new (he's brand new) to fantasy.
So, I currently have 10-11-17-37-44. My buddy wants to trade me his #18 and #23 for my #11 and #37. That is what would give me the 10-17-18-23-44 position. I love the idea of 4 top 23 picks as well.
This is a first year keeper league. For that reason, I think 10-11-17 sets me up really nicely.
In short, I'm confused and not really sure which of the 3 positions is the best. Hope this helps clarify.
