Reynolds or Y Escobar for Moustakis

Postby airbus3001 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 7:19 pm

I'm in a 18 team 5x5 mixed league. Keepers have not been chosen yet but I need to trade
Mike Moustakis. My offers are Mark Reynolds, Yunel Escobar, D Espinosa and maybe
Jason Bay. Can I somehow stomach reynolds BA to get those 35 HR?

Well, just to give you some moral support:), I am stomaching his putrid avg in one of my leagues for those bombs. It would be nice to see your other keepers because it all depends who can make up that avg for you on your team if you have Reynolds.

please help

Sheesh, bummer you have to trade Moustakas. No way you can keep him and skip the trade, eh?

I would rather gamble on Espinosa here. Still has an average problem, but at least he runs a bit and might improve. You already know what you're going to get with Reynolds, Escobar, and Bay.

Why do you 'have' to trade Moustakas exactly?

We have keepers in tiers.
I can keep 3 of these:
Morse
Strasburg
Jennings
Moustakis

I also have to chose 1 of these
Scott
S Drew
Morales
Rayburn
Thats a crapshoot

I say you keep Kendrys Morales over Luke Scott and still go for Espinosa.

Definitely Morales over Scott.
Beginnings of your team, not too bad. I wouldn't keep Giavo though.
C Ramos
1b Morse
2b J Weeks
MI Giavotella (can you throw this guy back for Mouse OR at least another option)
3b Arod
CI Morales
OF Werth, Jennings
UTL/BN 1b Goldschmidt
SP Strasberg

Espinosa would make the most sense and you'd start him over Giavo. I could also see you going for Reynolds putting him at 1b and moving Morse to your OF which would make it pretty solid.

Yunel Escobar seems like a low end trade target for a player with the hype of Moustakis, try to set your sights a little higher, I'd feel ripped off.
