12-team standard 5x5 roto league. 5 man prospect roster and 7 normal keepers.
I was just offered this:
I get: Jered Weaver and a 4th round pick this year (technically 11th round after keepers)
I give: Mike Trout and a 3rd round pick in 2013 (technically 10th round)
Trout has already exceeded his prospect eligibility so he will be in a bench slot until he is playing full time, and then will have to be kept as a keeper next year. But I don't want to lose a guy with his amazingly high upside.
I already have some nice pitchers (Latos, CJ Wilson, Wainwright and Hellickson), but also have a nice core of OF'ers (Cargo, J Upton, Alex Gordon and A McCutchen). So the trade has no bearing on need.
Should I trade Trout for Weaver?
Thank you for any help.

Do it! Weaver is a stud and would easily be your #1 pitcher. Trout might not even crack your OF next season.
Help me?

You actually do need another SP IMO a good one and this locks your team up nicely to be a serious contender.
