Keeper Trade - Fielder for Gallardo

I was going to say no until I saw $6 Trout. I would do it. Fister for $2 is very good value as well. No doubter.

What happens next year with Trout? Will his price go up and if so by how much? I think that is the lynch pin in the deal. $6 is a decent amount for a guy we don't know how much playing time he gets and if that price then increases by $5 next year than I think i would pass. By the time Trout would start producing, he could already be at cost. Gallardo on the other hand is a pretty darn good value.

The other concern is Fielder who is pretty costly at $44. And while I don't really believe it, his new stadium could drop his value and make this a bad deal.

Trout would go up another $5 next year. I would never keep Fielder beyond one additional year (too $) so his price tag would remain at $44. If I kept Gallardo more than one additional year, he'd go up another $5 too.

I think the boost Fielder will give you this year out weighs (see what I did there ) any potential value loss you'll take next year. PLUS, you can call me crazy, but I think Trout will be a better value at $11 next year than Gallardo will be at $24. I also believe in $7 Fister.

Fielder just seems way to costly at $44. I think I would rather have Gallardo who is at a slight discount and spend that $25 on another player than have it wrapped up in Fielder.

What is the scoring system like? Does it sway toward pitching or hitting? I like the idea of getting Trout, but I'm not so sure that he's going to be able to stay ahead of the curve. $11 for next season seems pricey right now. I guess it would also depend upon what the rest of your roster looks like.
