Dubose or Riley of the Orioles?

Postby cincyreds » Wed Mar 31, 2004 10:51 pm

Now that Eddie Jackson is going to the minors I am in need of another starter.

I have

Mulder
Oswalt
Halladay
Webb
H. Ramirez

I need a 6th starter as insurance in case someone gets hurt.

I am considering Dubose or Riley. Which one do you think will have the better season and better ERA?

Dubose is a #2 and Riley is a #5.

thanks again in advance.

well if you want to get technical, Riley is a #4 because was added to the rotation as the number 5. But to answer your question, I'd say Riley because I think he and DuBose are basically of the same skill level but Riley should face a few less aces throughout the year. If Ainsworth is out there, get him before either of those 2.
