H2H weekend only league.

Most of you have prob. never head of a weekend only league, but I am in one and we are going into our seventh season. I have not won a championship yet and am looking for a new strategy.

Historically my team has been power hitting and strike out pitching. It has gone ok, but I can not seem to get any kind of consistency weekend in and weekend out.

I am wondering if you guys think it would be smart to go with big average guys( sandoval, d. murphy, etc. etc.)? The theory is that these guys are more consistent and wont go cold on me over the weekends only to explode over the week.

I have also pinpointed guys who are "weekend" guys, and am not sure if it is flukie or actually means something.

Anyone got any take on this weekend league situation?

I only play in Wednesday leagues myself, so im not much help.
