I would probably take Springer or Guerrieri or TJenkins over Syndergaard. I think Springer could be a CF or RF that hit for a mediocre average but hits 20 plus hr's and steals 20 plus bases and I believe power/pseed types are fantasy gold. Guerrieri has a better arm/stuff than Syndergaard and TB does a great job developing arms. That being said you need to be aware that TB develops those arms very slowly and methodically so he is looking at 3-4 seasons in the minors no matter what. I also like Jenkins more than him too as I think there is a possibility Syndergaard ends up in the pen at some point. I think Jenkins could be a #2 SP down the road. Good luck! ;-D

There are a number of guys I like, I just don't know how much I like them more than Syndergaard.

George Springer
Jake Odorizzi
Taylor Guerrieri
Kolten Wong
Tyrell Jenkins

I probably like Jenkins the most out of this group but they are all so far away it is hard for to decide. I guess I would take Jenkins only because I think his ceiling his higher than Syndergaard though I think Syndergaard could be a pretty decent SP.

minor league rule always take the hitter over the pitcher. I would take George Springer over Noah. But are any of these guys available Teheran, yonder alonso, randall delgado, Osacr Taveras, arodys vizcaino, willin rosario, oswaldo arcia? I'd probably take any of those guys over Syndergaard

The only players still available on your list are W Rosario and Oswaldo Arcia.

I don't like that rule in regards to minors. With minor leagues players, everyone has question marks. Take the best player available, regardless of position. For most of these guys, you are throwing darts anyway so you might as well take the player with the most talent or has a more proven track record then skipping over SP just because they could get injured.

Maudib Wrote I don't like that rule in regards to minors.

I'm not sure how strong this rule is. I mean I've never seen any stats to say hitters prove out more than pitchers. And the expert rankers don't seem to hesitate on pitchers. Based on what I'm seeing in spring training I'm not sure the injury risk is greater. Although for pitchers the length of recovery time is probably longer.
I had already replaced Syndergaard with Jenkins( I live in St. Louis so somewhat familiar with him). Don't know much about W Rosario and Arcia but I'm going to take a look at them. Thanks for the help :-)
