Something fishy going on

12 team league and the commish has been completely incognito, in that time there has been rapid trades going on and since commish was not present, all have been approved. Now I do not have the smoking gun evidence of cheating but 6 trades so far, some look ok but a few I have serious reservations about:

How long have you been a part of this league?

I agree with you that those trades all together as a whole don't sit well with me. If I just looked at them one at a time only 3 and 6 would I consider lopsided but I wouldn't have a problem with them. However, I do find it very strange that all of these big name players are just being traded in a matter of two weeks.

Is there a reason why people would be willing to part with their big names (keeper rules perhaps). I've usually found that when you play in competitive leagues, trades take a while to hammer out, especially when you have superstar players involved, so I do think its strange that these huge deals all got done preseason and in a very quick amount of time. Unfortunately I am not sure what you can do at this point other than leave the league.

What [i]exactly[i] is your problem with what's happening? I'm asking because:

- None of these trades seem objectionable to me on their face. The most imbalanced trade IMO, in fact, is the one where he gave up CC and Humber for Markakis and JD Martinez. But I just don't see anything that could be remotely interpreted as collusion going on.

- If you're going to raise a stink about trades, you need to point to something specifically wrong, not just "this guy made a lot of trades".

Now, if this is a long-standing league where you know the managers and this kind of thing is suddenly happening out of the blue, that's one thing. But the fact of the matter is, some people like to be wheeler dealers. You may not agree with that style of play, but you shouldn't judge someone for it.

Pretty early in the season to have all those trades being made but I agree with mkultra and only #6 seems overly lopsided.

#5 is also verybad...that would get veto'd in any of the leagues I have ever been in. The guy getting Wright, CJ, etc wins on every played involved.

I don't think any of those are a huge deal either. I could see any of those being rationalized. Also I saw some players and teams coming up multiple times, were there possibly other deals in there also you didn't post that finished off three way trades? I'm not asking you to post any more deals, I'm just suggesting there not terrible deals.

If i have a bad draft//disconnected//miss draft time, first thing i do is hit the ww and start sending out trade offers. None are so lopsided that i think cheating. I always worry about one person on multiple accounts so just watch future happenings. We caught a multiaccounter once and the guy did several trades among two teams (reasonably fair ones) but then he did several drop/addes from and to the same teams he was trading between. Thats alot more than whats happened here though.
