Veto Worthy?

Postby Mjbren1 » Mon Mar 05, 2012 2:11 pm

Team A:

J.Bruce
Papelbon
Neftali

Team B:

Halladay
Shin Choo
Niese

Team B clearly dominates this trade to the point where I think it's totally unfair but it's the commish so I know it's going to go through. Opinions?

I honestly lookde at it and had trouble trying to decide who you thought was getting screwed over. I guess the Halladay side I would rather have but no where near veto worthy. It just seems like one of those situations where someone is upset that a team got better. I see nothing wrong with this deal

I see no problem with it.

How is it a no problem, Neftali has never started a game, Niese is better than him. Choo was a 30/30 threat and is a 20/20 guy with .300, 2 time all star I believe and Halladay is a first round pick 1st pitcher off the board for the 10th or so OF and 4or 5th closer?

Yeah, this one has to stand. I don't think this is veto worthy at all.

Choo is an injury risk, and Niese is not proven.

Papelbon is considered an elite closer, Bruce is a very nice player, and Feliz has a high ceiling.

No veto here.

Niese is junk.
Feliz is a upgrade, even if he struggles.
Choo was never 30/30 threat.
20/20 maybe, but Bruce is a stud.
Pap is top 3 or 4 closer.

I probably prefer Choo side, but not by a ton.

For a trade to be veto worthy it would need to be so lopsided that it would be a detriment to the league. I commish a couple of leagues and have seen some one sided trades (and still let them stand). This isn't even close to being at that level.

Is it wrong that I actually prefer team A in this? No way you could veto this trade.
