Below are some prospect draft results from a recent draft. The draft excludes any player in the Yahoo database and is limited to only minor leaguers with an A level classification. So, who which team has the best minor league system going forward?
TEAM A = T. Walker (Sea - SP), J. Marisnick (Tor - OF), M. Choice (Oak - OF)
TEAM B = J. Fernandez (Fla - SP), G. Springer (Hou - OF), M. Davidson (Ari - 3B)
TEAM C = X. Bogaerts (Bos - SS), O. Tavares (Stl - OF), C. Withrow (LAD - SP)
TEAM D = M. Olt (Tex - 3B), J. Wieland (SD - SP), B. Jacobs (Bos - OF)
TEAM E = C. Cuthbert (KC - 3B), A. Hicks (Min - OF), N. Ramirez (Tex - SP)
TEAM F = R. Liriano (SD - OF), J. Segura (LAA - SS), T. May (Phi - SP)
TEAM G = Z. Lee (LAD - SP), T. Wheeler (Col - OF), O. Arcia (Min - OF)
TEAM H = J. Paxton (Sea - SP), N. Syndergaard (Tor - SP), C. Martinez (Stl - SP)
TEAM I = A. Cole (Oak - SP), C. Kelly (SD - SP), A. Sachez (Tor - SP)
TEAM J = M. Harvey (NYM - SP), S. Gray (Oak - SP), R. Erlin (SD - SP)
TEAM K = J. Baez (ChC - SS), G. Cecchini (Bos - SB), J. Campos (NYY - SP)
TEAM L = C. Yelich (Mia - OF), M. Williams (NYY - OF), J. Hellweg (LAA - SP)
Like H, don't care for Syndergaard much but really like the other 2. Is there a minor league system already in place? There are some uninspiring low upside picks there.
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.
A lot of the top prospects like Bauer, GCole, Bundy ect were already added to the yahoo database. As such, they were ineligible for this draft, and instead are a part of a separate draft. This makes the rosters a bit skewed. Also, players that have not played in the minors, or have only played SS Rk league are ineligible.
With these rules, the draft above is going to look significantly different that most you will encounter, hence some of the off the wall picks. Also, there were various picks traded. I am team L, and had picks 1.10, 3.10, and 3.12. So for the last 2 picks I went for the home run, hoping that one of Mason Williams or Hellweg (kinda a homer pick) will progress enough to be in the top 50 prospects next season.
