Help with a trade

Postby mcgahe28 » Sun Mar 04, 2012 7:33 pm

Hi,
I am in a roto auction keeper league with a $26 cap. My team is not ready to win this year, so I am looking to grab some good keepers so I can compete the next few years.
I am in the middle of trading Mike Morse for Homer Bailer, Trevor Bauer, and my pick of Paul Goldschmidt, Brandon Belt, and Jason Heyward. My question is who should I choose out of the 3. All of them are $0.50 but Heyward needs a contract now or I will have to throw him back after the season, where as Goldschmidt and Belt will need contracts next year. My top choice at the moment is Heyward, followed by Belt than Goldschmidt. I just feel like Heyward has more potential than the other 2.

Let me know what you guys think, thanks.

I am leaning more towards Heyward too, though those are some nice choices. No chance you can swap out Bailey for one of the other two guys, eh? I think Heyward's hype a few years back warrants seeing what he can do as he grows in the majors. All three guys are risks, but gamble on the guy who probably has the higher ceiling.

Hey ward without question. He could be more valuable than Morse. I think the deal is fine but I am not a fan of Morse.

This. I have Heyward ranked ahead of Morse for this season anyway. Bauer is icing on the cake.

I would only do it if you can get Heyward. The other guys are ok just nothing that would excite me to receive in a trade
