Utley for Uggla (WHIR as always)

Postby Jase44 » Sun Mar 04, 2012 4:22 pm

Hitting cats - R 2B HR AVG RBI SB BB OPS
Pitching - W K SV ERA WHIP

Here is my roster:
J.Montero
Hosmer
Utley
A.Ramirez
Cabrera
Morse
Heyward
Bourn

D.Price
M.Pineda
M.Latos

Trade is: Utley + Latos for Uggla + Beachy

I think Uggla will add more to my roster than Utley and Beachy and Latos are similar but Latos in a more friendly hitters park makes me a bit weary.

Thoughts??

Agreed. I like Beachy more than Latos and that is really the difference.

I could go either way on the pitchers, but you could really use Uggla's pop in that lineup as I feel Utley will struggle to hit 20 and he's become a major health risk. Plus, ain't no way in the world he starts off as bad as last season... I think ur looking at prob about a .260-.270 avg, which is prob about what Utley will produce too imo. Take a look at mine please?

I would much rather have the Uggla and Beachy side of it.

Utleys prime years are well behind him. Uggla is still in his. I don't think he hits .190 for the first 4 months again.

I trust Latos more than Beachy but not by much,

Uggla/Beachy wins tho

Take Uggla. Pitchers like Latos and Beachy can be replaced so either way you are better off grabbing the guy that will help your offense for sure imo.

Utley is only 1 year older then Uggla.
I don't consider Uggla in his prime.
His OPS and wOBA were career lows.
Given the catergories, Utley might be better.
Utley wins average, sb, 2B.
Uggla wins hrs, maybe rbis.
W,OPS, runs are a push.

I like Beachy much more then Latos.

I would try Latos for Beachy.
