Prospects Draft- T. Bauer, G. Cole, W. Myers, B. Starling

Hello all!

My pick is coming up in our 18 team dynasty league minor league prospect draft.

Here are some of the highest rated players available:
P Trevor Bauer Ari
P Gerrit Cole Pit
OF Wil Myers KC
P Dylan Bundy Bal
3B Anthony Rendon Was
P Taijuan Walker Sea
P Danny Hultzen Sea
OF Bubba Starling KC
P Matt Harvey NYM
OF Gary Brown SF

I could use any position player/pitcher and would prefer someone who is potentially MLB ready by mid-season this year. Any advice on these players?

Hultzen is the guy i see up 1st, Bauer as well.
But i prefer highest ceiling guys.
I would take Rendon or Starling myself.
Bundy/Walker there too.

Interesting.....in the keeper league where we have 4 minor spots, I had Rendon, Starling, Bauer, Hultzen. Of all of them, I feel the strongest about Rendon, especially with the talk he may move to 2B. If you want use out of them this year though, I'd go with Bauer before Hultzen.

Starling would be my choice, but Myers, Hultzen and Bauer will be up quite a bit before Starling will.

I take Myers, IMO. Possibly the sweetest swing in the minors (albeit somewhat unconventional), and I think he's MLB ready right now, or at least his bat is. He also has incredibly deceptive speed. I think he could easily be a Ryan Braun type star, except with even a better strike-zone recognition. He's shown an almost 1:1 K:B ratio in the minors.

While I think some of those other names do have a little higher ceiling, I think Myers by far also has the highest floor. I think he'll be a star.

If you are looking for more immediate help I wouldn't even consider Starling. He probably has 3-4 years at minimum before he gets a shot.

I would probably go Rendon, Hultzen, Bauer, Myers, Bundy

Myers or Rendon to me, either one is fine, then Hultzen, Bauer. Starling and Walker can be studs but don't see the point in taking the ETA 2014 guys over ETA 2012-2013'ers with equal upside and relatively less risk.

I don't think Myers has a Braun ceiling at all. I don't think he'll hit for that much power.

Honestly, I think that is his floor. Myers has been young for his level, and if it weren't for his off-field knee injury and infection, I'm sure he would have had an impressive showing last year in AA as he had in rookie and A ball. In the AFL once fully recovered, he arguably had the best performance in the league. Although he does hit more LDs, he does still have tremendous raw power and bat speed. As he matures, he will learn that he can turn on balls more often and turn many of those drives into HRs. I think he'll be a perennial 30+ HR hitter. The steals number is debatable, though. He is a very smart baserunner and is quick despite his build. He's not a burner by any means, but I think he could routinely steal 15 a year - that or none at all, depending on how his body matures.

Id go Bauer all the way, normally I all for bats but this kids going to be special.
