Unconventional league: CHECK OUT MY TEAM Plz...

11-player league, pretty competitive

13 CATS: Hitting- OBP, SLUG, HR, RBI, R, (SB-CS)
Pitching- ERA, WHIP, (Wins-Losses), (K's-BB's), (Saves-Saves Blown), (Holds-Holds Blown)
Defense- Fielding Percentage

this is my second year playing Fantasy Baseball and went for a balanced team this time around and this is what i got:

C- J. Kendall
1B- A. Dunn
2B- M. Giles
3B- S. Hillenbrand
SS- O. Cabrera
RF- B. Abreu
CF- C. Beltran
LF- B. Wilkerson
Util.- T. Glaus
Bench- D. Relaford

SP- M. Morris, K. Millwood, R. Wolf, F. Garcia
SP, RP- J. Contreras
RP- T. Gordon, G. Mota, R. Wagner, F. Cordero, A. Rhodes.

whaddya guys think... i know i probably have one of the most balanced teams in my league, but do i have enough FIREPOWER?

very important: when analyzing my team please keep in mind that the categories are a little unconventional.

It is a wierd league, lol

all in all yeah pretty balanced & you do lack firpower, i would think of trading someone maybe a 2 for 1, to try & get a nice stud.

Nice balance....I'd try and move hillenbrand - you won't get much out of him in this format...

Finally a league where Dunn is a superstar...


This isn't directly related to your roster - but with these categories I'd be really tempted to just punt on OBP and go after the other offensive categories...did anybody go that route?

I actually think you're kind of undermanned for an 11 team league. Your pitching and offense are somewhat mediocre....

undermanned, mediocre... i thought i tried to get guys more suitable for the categories we use (especially on offense) and avoid any big injury risks.... urgghhhh of course getting the last pick in the draft doesnt help either. hopefully i'll be more careful next time.

THAT is actually a great question...
well ive only been playing Fantasy Baseball for only dos years and therefore i may be wrong (please correct me in that case). nobody in our league completely went that route just because there arent enough quality guys but you can tell that some guys tried. i also guess that you cant really punt on OBP cos those categories are sorta related (we chose categories in an attempt to make our 'fantasy' league as 'real' as possible). for example, for someone to get a high OBP he usually has to walk a lot and pitchers mostly only walk hitters if they are a threat in the other categories ( SLUG, HR, RBI, etc.). so maybe you cant really punt on OBP.
but thats just my two cents and im probably wrong and i would be glad to have someone with more fantasy baseball knowledge than me attempt that question (experienced FB players, moderators, please).

anyways are there any categories that i'm particulalry weak in? if so, how can i improve in those categories?
