http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/r ... r_cra.htmlUpdate - Pete Abraham just tweeted this:
"Via Bobby Valentine, Red Sox trainer Rick Jameyson reports that the swelling in Carl Crawford's left wrist has gone down and he has improved range of motion. "There's progress," Valentine said. Crawford has been shut down for a few days after overdoing it. "Pretty soon, I hope in the next couple of days" said Crawford when asked when he might start swinging again. "I took it over the edge and I have to slow it down." Crawford still hopes to be ready in time for Opening Day."

Carl Crawford is still experiencing left elbow soreness and will visit Dr. James Andrews.
Uh-oh. Crawford began playing in extended spring training games last week after straining his elbow earlier this month, but he has apparently suffered some sort of setback. Just because he's visiting Dr. Andrews doesn't mean he will ultimately require surgery, but it doesn't sound like he'll be able to make it back in early May as previously estimated. Stay tuned.
