Looks like Mike Stanton is reverting back to his "given name". Per Yahoo!:
RF Mike Stanton, called Mike by family and friends since childhood, has decided to revert to his given first name of Giancarlo. His full name is Giancarlo Cruz-Michael Stanton. When he comes up to bat, he'll now be introduced to the crowd as Giancarlo Stanton, as is his preference. The same goes when his name is posted on the stadium scoreboard or the official scorecard. It's already on his locker nameplate as well as his bats.
My only hope is that people in my draft don't realize Mike Stanton & Giancarlo Stanton are 1 in the same and he falls to me (although I might need to play with more noobs to have that happen

)

I've been hoping for some time that he'd change his name to his actual full name, Giancarlo Cruz. Every time I hear Mike Stanton, I think of the reliever from Yankees and Braves during the late 90's. So, I think this move gives him some identity. Still, Giancarlo Cruz still sounds coolest.

I guess every sport has to have someone getting fancy with a name change every-time a season begins. At-least it wasn't something like 'World Peace.'

If "OchoCinco" is referring to the amount of homeruns he'll hit this season, I'll second that.
