This is my second year to play. I did not fare to well last year, so help me please:

R. Hernández (SD - C)
M. Teixeira (Tex - 1B)
L. Castillo (Fla - 2B)
M. Lowell (Fla - 3B)
K. Matsui (NYM - SS)
I. Suzuki (Sea - RF)
T. Hunter (Min - CF)
S. Green (LA - RF)
(Util) J. Burnitz (Col - LF,CF,RF)

K. Wood (ChC - SP)
T. Hudson (Oak - SP)
H. Nomo (LA - SP)
J. Beckett (Fla - SP)
B. Webb (Ari - SP)
K. Ishii (LA - SP)
W. Miller (Hou - SP)

J. Isringhausen (StL - RP)
A. Rhodes (Oak - RP)
S. Chacón (Col - SP)

In this league, there is no max. innings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
(BTW The team name is "Springfield Isotopes," yea, I am a huge Simpsons fan. ;-) )

Burnitz is a good pick, his numbers will soar in Col. Your offense is solid, most of them sleepers, like 1B, he'll be good this year, but I'd suggest moving him to Utl, and signging another first basemen. Teixeira is a great infielder, and can play 1B, 3B, and the OF, I suggest signing Konerko, Klesco, Durazo, or good ol' Tino Martinez. Also, if Kaz turns out to be no good, pick up Cintron asap.

I think your opportunities for improvement could come from moving some guys that may be overrated.

I think that Castillo is on the decline (steals cut in half last year) but there's not much 2B help out there...and I think that Burnitz strikes out too much to really benefit from coors...I might try and move Burnitz and Ishii now while they may have inflated value....

I like your starting pitching a lot though...I hope they count strikeouts...

Good Luck!

yeah ure team isnt that bad for a "learner" (actually its not bad for ANYONE ;-D ). trade ishii and nomo while they're overrated. but i would still keep Castillo.. he didnt run last year cos of an injury which is a lot better this year. the fish also lost Derek Lee and Pudge so look for him ro run.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Not a bad team you should have 3 solid starters in Hudson, Wood, and Becket(if he pitches like he did in the playoffs). Plus Webb and Miller aren't bad picks either. You could use a little more help in the bullpen but I like your pitching. The biggest problem with your lineup is you have a lot of question marks if guys perform you'll be straight but if not look out. Lowell is a health risk but spring training reports say he's looking good. Nobody knows what Matsui is going to do in America hopefully he pans out, Green should bounce back this year but I'm not sure about Burnitz. He did hit 30 hr last year but he'll hurt you in avg.
Life is what you make it.

Thanks for the responses. I know Ishii isn't that great, but I have yet to find a better replacement. No one really wants him. nomo? i dunno, I kinda think I will gamble on him. Burnitz?? I know his avg. is not good, but I need power somewhere.
I was thinking of dropping Ishii for Hardin??

I will keep an eye on Matsui though. There are a few guys left that I could replace him with: J Valentine, Cintron, Eckstein?? We'll see.

The league has 11 teams BTW.
