What exactly is E85 Ethanol And how Is It Produce

I'm short on time so I will make this quick. From what I understand ethanol is made from corn. It's alcohol, so they put an additive in it so that it can't be consumed. I drove a work car( tahoe flex vehicle) that could run on regular gasoline or E85. E85 was cheaper, but you tend to burn more fuel. Having to fill up more offset the cheaper price, so you just about broke even. I don't have a problem with filling up more if it breaks our dependancy on foriegn oil and keeps more Americans employed.
