Is Michael Morse worth this offer? WHIR

Postby redn22 » Tue Feb 28, 2012 10:35 pm

18 team 5X5 (BA, HR, RBI, R, SB) (ERA, WHIP, W, K, Saves)

6 player keeper. So far my 6 keepers are: CC Sabathia, Wainwright, Tulowitzki, Teixeria, ARamirez and Chris Young.

Earlier today, I traded away my #3 draft pick (52nd overall) for Adam Wainwright. Jackpot on my part I think...

I've been offered Michael Morse who is 1B and OF eligible in my league and his #3 draft pick (48th overall) for Chris Young and Angel Pagan...

The way I see this trade is that it benefits me in regards that Morse can play both 1B and OF, meanwhile CYoung is only 1B eligible... Pagan I will be dropping anyways once keepers are locked in... Also, I get a 3rd pick again and 4 picks earlier than my original 3rd rounder...

Basically I need to know if this is a smart trade for me... I do lose out on CYoung's speed, but I figure I can draft for speed in the early rounds...

Thanks in advance and please leave your link!

I think this is a good deal. I am not a huge fan of Morse but I like him slightly more than Young plus you get a pick.

Easy yes. Losing the speed but gain some avg. Like you said, get some elite speed early or cheap speed late.
