Keeper: Which draft position? WHIR

Postby JJGBPD » Tue Feb 28, 2012 6:41 pm

I'm new to a keeper league... 10 team 5x5 head to head keep 3.

I landed the #4 draft position leaving me 4-17-24-37-44-57-64 etc. etc.

Through various trades, I have the options to get these draft picks:

10-11-17-37-44-57-64 etc.

10-17-18-23-44-57-64 etc.

Which of these 3 draft positions is best? To me, the second option (10-11-17) gives me the best option to grab 3 good keepers right away. The third option (10-17-18-23) gives me 4 solid picks early on to balance my team at thin positions such as SS and 2B.

Which draft position would you want? Thanks!

If you wish to make the trade, then go with the second option as you say. Might as well maximize in talent than worry about filling positions. In my experience, filling positions can be a waste of time as there are always decent options that surprise you no matter what pick you get them at.

I like the 3rd one.
I would rather get 4 of the top 23, versus 3 of the top 17.
