Again, who knows? I see no reason for a veto. Those opposing it are jealous because I am guessing they wanted Harper and felt they could have given more than Venters. Most of them are probably right.

In most of the leagues I am in, the veto has to receive votes from a majority of teams in the league. So in your situation, the veto would not pass unless eight owners voted to do so. I have also played in leagues where a veto needs to pass by a 2/3 margin. I don't think the trade is vetoable either - we don't know if Harper will be a HOF player or the next Brien Taylor.
