So for the first time in my 12 years of playing fantasy baseball, I drew the first pick in my 12 team yahoo H2H keeper league. Right now I'm currently leaning toward taking Miguel Cabrera, but I seem to be reconsidering at all times.
Is there a clear cut #1 this year? My head says Cabrera, but my heart seems to think otherwise (Like Ryan Braun). Someone set me straight! Go With Cabrera? Someone else? Braun? Kemp? Pujols?

Can't go wrong with any of the top 5 or so. I am with you, I go MCab esp. since he is now going to be 3b elig. Tulo and Pujols are very safe picks as well. Braun pretty much is too, though unlike some here I would tend to gravitate away from him given the nonsense going on and a lingering doubt that he was on the juice and his numbers may suffer. Kemp is also a fine pick, though I feel safer with someone liek MCab than I do with a guy that is a one year producer.

Thanks for the replies guys, but regarding this thought, is there any reason you prefer Pujols to Cabrera? Even with the potential multi position eligibility? Just curious

He was last year!!
Cabrera, Kemp, or Braun. Really can't go wrong either way. I probably take Cabrera because of 3B.
I should clarify my point, Kemp is the only player that I don't see a weakness with in fantasy. He is the only one I am able to say should be #1 come end of the season
“Never argue with a idiot, because first they will bring you down to their level. Then beat you with experience.”
Kemp has the skillset to be #1, but he hasn't shown the consistency you should require from the #1 pick. Braun's 2012 season could be troublesome. If he off the juice? Will he break down? What happens without FIelder? With Albert I would worry slightly about age and the league switch. The only guy without questions to me is MCab. Super consistent and could pick up 3B eligibility. He's also in his prime.
Am I the only one That believes MIggy & Albert are the best hitters of all time? Look at their stats .ahaha. I love me some Tony Gwynn but Miguel is like a tony G. x2 because of his ability to bat for average & power. I would take either Albert or Migueal Cabrera to answer your questions. braun will never put up what these two have .
