Any of these prospects worth holding onto?

Postby chiefscards38 » Fri Feb 24, 2012 4:17 pm

Haven't kept up with my homework, but are any of the below worth holding onto in a dynasty league?

Nick Evans NYM 1B/OF
Brian Dinkelman MIN 2B/OF
Aaron Poreda SD RP
Wilmer Flores NYM SS
Jordan Danks CWS OF
Trey McNutt CHC SP
Brody Colvin PHI SP
Loek Van Mil LAA P

Of all the guys you listed, I say Flores is the only one worth keeping. He's a borderline top 100 prospect still. I suppose someone could make an argument that Colvin simply just a bad year but there are likely better bets than he available.

Nick Evans NYM 1B/OF - Utility player, drop
Brian Dinkelman MIN 2B/OF - Awful, cut asap
Aaron Poreda SD RP - Awful, cut asap
Wilmer Flores NYM SS - Keep
Jordan Danks CWS OF - Wishful utility player, drop
Trey McNutt CHC SP - Middle reliever, drop
Brody Colvin PHI SP - Would keep, could turn it around
Loek Van Mil LAA P - Wishful middle reliever, drop

Just Flores and Colvin are of fantasy interest, suppose McNutt could have a chance, the rest are really bad.

How deep is the league? What are some guys available? I don't like any of the guys listed and if forced to keep one would keep Colvin.

I don't see what's so great about Flores. Supposed good tool that always yields mediocre results. I know he's young but he can't play SS(probably not any athletic position, probably a corner OF at best and 1B at worst). Age vs. League isn't even that great anymore after repeating Sally 2 years ago and repeating FSL a year ago. He's basically a big name who was once a big prospect and that's it.
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.
