Please help me choose my 6th keeper...its killing me. Ive got great keepers after working some deals in a keeper league (settings below). Im already keeping Pujols, Kemp, Longoria, J. Upton, and Adrian Gonzalez.
I need to choose from Carlos Santana, Brett Lawrie, Dan Uggla, and Josh Hamilton.
Im leaning towards Lawrie because of the hype similar to Braun talent.
Please help and leave a link.
head to head, 10 team keeper league settings: Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, IF, OF, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, RP, P, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Doubles (2B), Triples (3B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS), Net Stolen Bases (NSB)
He has an extra couple of advantages- the scoring categories are more in favor of power hitters and your league utilizes one extra IF and one extra OF spot. Normally, the ratio should be a bit higher (IF:OF 1:2, or 2:3). So the value of a good OF goes up a tad. Uggla and Lawrie are not keepers in a 10 team league with only 6 guys IMO. Santana shouldn't be a keeper with you guys only having 10 active catchers.
Hamilton is the best player but let's be honest here, you're keeping 5 first round picks, you could keep AJ Burnett and still run away with your league. If you end up gambling on Lawrie and he busts this year, I doubt it'll hurt you.
