Here is my dilemna, I am in a keeper league AND I have first pick overall for winning the league last year. At this point, my keepers are:
1. Hanley Ramirez/Ryan Braun/Joey Votto (Whichever 2 I don't keep goes back in the redraft) 2. Roy Halladay 3. Dustin Pedroia 4. Evan Longoria 5. Cliff Lee 6. James Shields 7. Chris Carpenter
I have the first pick overall. Would you keep Hanley, Ryan Braun, or Votto..AND...of the available players in our league to be drafted Miguel Cabrera is the first, and probably best option to take. Whichever two I DONT KEEP between Votto/Braun/Ramirez will also be availbale. From there, the next best is probably Wright, Teixera, or Stanton from a hitters perspective. Soooooo.....would you keep Hanley knowing that SS depth is next to nothing (Rollins and Jeter the next two available that aren't kept)

I agree, keep Braun and draft Cabrera. Not only is Braun your best player, you already have a middle infielder. Grab a young SS with upside like Bonifacio, Castro, Desmond later. Braun/Cabrera/Pedroia/Longoria is great start with those pitchers. You're going to repeat!
Our league is set up to draft 28 players. We get to keep one guy from each tier of 4. For example we can keep one player in picks 1-4, one from 5-8, one from 9-12 etc.
That is why I am keeping Shields and Carpenter. My other option is to keep Strasburg over Shields? Would you? I can keep a guy for 3 years, but I do feel they will post similar stats, except Shields will get more K's, Wins, among other things. The innings pitched limit is what turned me off on Strasburg.
