2012 Keeper Help

I'm looking to keep 6 players. The league is a 10 team H2H league with a standard snake draft. Whichever players I keep, I lose the round where I drafted them last year for this year's draft. So, here's the possible keepers and in ( ) will be the round they were drafted. If I picked them up as a FA I lose my last round pick.
Cano (1), Lincecum (2), J. Upton (4), Grinke (4) aquired in trade, Pence (6), Weaver (7), Andrus (8), Sandoval (12), Shields (18), Hosmer (FA pickup)

It would be pretty easy to pick the top 6 ranked for 2012 but then I'd loose some of my top picks for this year. Are Shields and Hosmer workth it since I'd loose late round picks?
Any thoughts would be helpful.

easy... keep the value AND retain your high picks... you can always draft some of them back again with those high picks.

I think Upton at 4 is too good to pass on, but Cano in the first I'd probably toss back. Shields in the 18th is great value, but you can always grab him back. Generally I'll take the high-end bat over a second arm here.

I prefer Shields in round 18 (!!) to Pence in round 6. Much greater value, IMO. If you keep Pence you won't have a pick rounds 6-8.
