Anyone know where I can find a Schedule Maker?

Postby nealesq1 » Wed Feb 22, 2012 12:05 am

Anyone know where I could find a website which will generate a free fantasy baseball schedule?

I have a 12 team H2H league, 3 Divisions, each team plays divisional opponents 3 times and a 22 game schedule.

I've seen a ton of football schedule makers but those only go 17 weeks.

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you play a 22 game schedule you are not playing all teams an equal number of times. There are 9 division games and then 13 games from the remaining 8 teams. If you are going to make a schedule, make one where the games come out even. == In answer to your question, I have checked everywhere on many occassions and have found no baseball schedule. What I do is use one of the football sites. In your case you could find a 12 team schdule where you play everyone once. Then take the part of the schedule where you are playing your own division and and add those to the schedule.

I've made 21 and 23 game schedules, but not 22. It isn't too difficult though.

I'd number each team.

A1 A2 A3 A4
B1 B2 B3 B4
C1 C2 C3 C4

then map out the core of the schedule - divisional play.

A1 v A2
A3 v A4

A1 v A3
A2 V A4

A1 V A4
A2 V A3

same for B and C, and repeat two times for A, B and C.

That takes care of 9 weeks of the schedule, playing 3 divisional opponents 3x each.

22-9 is 13. Now what?

To play other divisions evenly, you have 8 other teams outside your division. So you can play them all once each.
so that is 9 division games and 8 intra games. Leaves 5. If A plays B, B plays C, and C plays A you have:

A1 v B1
A2 V B2
A3 V B3
A4 v B4

A1 V B2
A2 V B3
A3 V B4
A4 V B1

A1 V B3
A2 V B4
A3 V B1
A4 V B2

A1 V B4
A2 V B1
A3 V B2
A4 V B3

A1 v C1
A2 V C2
A3 V C3
A4 v C4

A1 V C2
A2 V C3
A3 V C4
A4 V C1

A1 V C3
A2 V C4
A3 V C1
A4 V C2

A1 V C4
A2 V C1
A3 V C2
A4 V C3

Repeat for B and C.

Now for final 5. . . here are 3 of them . . .

A1 v B1
A2 v B2
A3 v B3
A4 v B4

A1 v C1
A2 v C2
A3 v C3
A4 v C4

B1 v C1
B2 v C2
B3 v C3
B4 v C4

Repeat for B v C and C v A.

That's all but 2.

A1 v B2
A2 V B3
A3 v B4
A4 v B1

A1 v B3
A2 v B4
A3 V B1
A4 v B2

Repeat for B v C and C v A.

Nevermind . . . too confusing! :)
