Reyes trade

Postby oldmanbean » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:46 pm

Don't think I will do it, but wanted some opinions. I would trade Andrus for Reyes, but also have to drop Hudson to fit him in under the cap.

Keepers below, cap is $130, although if I keep 10 the cap is higher ($145) but no way to do that. right now I am at 11 keepers, $130

Thanks!

12 team points keeper league.
15 hitters, 10 pitchers.
1 point per TB, bb = 1, r = 1, rbi = 2, sb = 2, cs = -1
IP = 1, K = 1, W = 10, QS = 5, S = 5, BS = -5,L=-5,ER=-2,BB=-1
We start 1 at each position plus an EH. 6 pitchers, weekly lineups

C Y Molina 4
1B M Cabrera 28
3B R Zimmerman 12
SS E Andrus 9
OF J Bautista 11, H Pence 14
P B Beachy 6, D Hudson 11, C Lee 19, A Wainwright 6, J Zimmermann 10

Thanks for the help. I wouldnt do it either. Just because dropping Hudson right now is a risk. And Andrus isn't playing bad enough to make you desperate at needing a SS, especially when you already have Zim and Miggy.

How many teams and how much is the cost for Reyes?

I would consider taking the trade, dropping Molina so you get down to 10 keepers and raise your salary cap to $145 to keep it.

You have Molina at a good price but there may be other C you can get for cheap. And the difference between that C and Molina won't be as great as the difference between Reyes and Andrus.

Would like to know what Reyes will cost you.

So without that info, I would hang onto Andrus. Really he isn't that far off from putting up Reyes type numbers. Not sure he will ever get the power Reyes has but more maturity could get the other numbers a lot closer.

I think I have to agree. I'd keep Andus and Hudson. If you could make the deal without losing Hudson, I absolutely would, as I think there is still a great difference between Elvis and Jose. But Hudson's upside is worth betting on.

Reyes is $20, equal to Andrus and Hudson.

If I drop Molina and keep Hudson, I will be at $137 with 10 keepers. So, I COULD keep Hudson ... sound good now???

That sounds like the best move to me. You can find a cheap catcher. What are some C values in the league?
