Manny is 40 and post steroids and was never as good as Barry. Barry OPS'd 1.045 as a 43 year old, wouldn't surprise me if he could still OPS in the .800 range and that could easily end up being better than Manny. Obviously it's all conjecture, I'm just saying I don't think it's all that crazy.

Exactly why I would take Bonds because he WALKS. Manny stirkes out too much.
And yes, Billy Beane is on a fire sale this off season. They are still going to end up 3rd in the division lol
His contract is so low that this makes sense to me from a marketing perspective. It's a good way to get some people talking about your team when you have no chance of making the playoffs for the next few years.

I suspect Barry still has a better batting eye than most in the majors. Greatest of all time.
Have Brad Pitt trade him to the Jays if you don't want him. He deserves better than Oakland.
