It took some time, but I believe I have finally landed the trade I was hoping for, and I wanted you guys to give it your blessing if you deem it appropriate.

Here's the offer:
My Tex & Hamels
for his Votto

Again just to recap, Teixeria must either be moved in the next week, or I throw him back to the draft pool because his contract is up. I had considered doing so, because it seems that all of the comparable 1B will be kept, and the drop-off from the 1B production this year looks kinda far. and I thought I could possibly re-drafted him since I was only planning on keeping 3-4 out of 6, giving me additional picks during the keeper rounds.

1st question: Do you like this trade for me knowing that I couldn't keep Teixeria and I typically do not draft pitchers in the early rounds (however, I expect special things from Hamels this year... walk year)

Here's what my keepers look like now:
Votto
Cano
Hanley
M. Holiday
*empty
*empty

So sill have two picks before the regular snake rounds start to pick up best available players... I normally wait on pitching until after the 7th round, but if there's someone there looking at me.....

I guess my 2nd question would be do you recommend keeping Youkilis with the 5th round keeper, or throwing him back in, and perhaps attaining him a little cheaper. It seems people are valuing him so low right now after one bad year, and now he's being ranked in the 80-100 area... crazy right? Dude is batting 3rd for the Saux... should I consider keeping him, or try to pick up someone else during the early rounds?

Again, leave your link and I will answer yours. B-)

Solid deal.
1b Votto
2b Cano
SS Hanley
OF M. Holiday
looks good.
Good luck.
I'd pass on Youk and try to get a value 3b like Aramis or preferred Lawrie.
