Hi guys just found this site tonight while thinkin' and plannin' for some fantasy baseball this year.
What do you think of a league plan for a limited number of owners all of whom are fans, or at least watch games from, one team? In this case I am talking of the Blue Jays and all us prospective fantasy owners will be watching many Jays games this year.
My plan is for limiting the number of teams players can be chosen from to # of owners + 2. So, for example, if there are 5 of us in the league we would pick from all the AL East teams plus 2 other teams (Detroit and KC, maybe). The idea would be that anytime one of us would watch a Jays game we would most likely have a player on our fantasy team playing and with the unbalanced schedule other players would be on the AL East teams. Most of the top 4 pitchers on the AL East teams will be taken (except for Baltimore's starters) so competition during the auction for the best players would be fierce.
Has anyone tried this type of reduced player pool? I hate leagues where all the teams are made up of all stars so I hope this proposed setup will eliminate that.
