Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray

I think thats where I'm torn...he's better RIGHT NOW. But some rankings have Tex and Hosmer within just rank of each other. The potential for Hosmer is there, and maybe this year is his year. Although taking a guy like Tex, barring any sort of set back, I'd like to say he's going to get me AT LEAST 30+ home runs, where Hosmer may not. This has been a tough call for me...I certainly appreciate all of the input on this fellas, it has helped quite a bit.
I have Teixeira Ranked as my 7th overall 1B and I think im being generous at that. He finished 67 overall last year and for a 1B compare to Fielder who i have ranked 5th at 1b and finished 20th best overall last year. Hosmer I will most likely rank in the low 40's since I believe he will have a nice constant year this year and could be an excellent fill in for those that draft miggy when he gets moved to 3rd.
So overall I think Teixeira is way over rated and would rather you go with Hosmer for the future.

Based on your keepers, which are quite strong for the future AND right now, I would make this deal. Yes, losing Hosmer for Tex is going to bite you in the long term, but it will help you out for sure in 2012. And with your other keepers, that gives you an incredibly good set of players IMO.
