Help with my auction keepers. WHIR

14 team 5x5 roto league with $300 cap. We have 30 man rosters with no innings cap for pitchers. We can keep between 3-6 players per year with an inflation rate of $4 from the previous year. Which would you keep of the following based on their values for the upcoming season?

Jose Bautista $26
Lance Berkman $7
Justin Verlander $25
James Shields $9
Albert Pujols $53
David Ortiz $13
Rafael Betancourt $5

I think they'll all be worth the price, but Pujols probably has the least amount of wiggle room so I'd drop him. Hopefully you can get him back in the draft at a comparable price.

I think Pujols is too expensive to keep at that price...I'd send him back and if you still want him target him in your draft.

Couldn't agree more. You could probably draft him or another elite 1B at around that price, maybe cheaper so I'd take the chance at the draft.

A big thing to take into consideration is how many top 1Bs are being kept. If you think that most/all of the elite guys won't be in the draft, then I'd hold onto Pujols.

Help with mine?

I would let Pujols and Betancourt go. You can get Pujols back at a similar price or another good 1B and Betancourt is replaceable at similar or better value.
