ah, cool.
Would you rank him just under guys like Gordon/Quantrill, Marte, Donnelly(when healthy)?
Since we're talking about MR, what's the deal with Gordon/Quantrill? Do they have equal value or is one more valuable than the other in a holds league?
Yeah he should be good for some holds, but not even close to the best. I think people are shying away from him because he doesn't get a lot of K's, and doesn't have a great ERA or WHIP. He had saves last year, which was great, but this year he's a small fish in a big pond, since so many guy get holds and a lot of them also give you K's and good ratios as well. And unlike other holds guys, he ahs no shot at becoming the closer. Top RP's like K-Rod, Marte, Riske (until recently), Valverde, Lidge, and Hawkins have a shot, or in Riske's case had a shot at becoming his team's closer. Which would greatly increase their value, even in leagues counting holds.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
I would definetly take him over Quantrill and Marte (assuming he doesn't get the closing job) and maybe Gordon, depending on how he pitches, I am not sold on Gordon doing well in NY.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

What? Marte last year had 9+ k/IP and a 8:1 k/bb ratio!!!!
How do you rate Worrell over him?

wow. Im still drafting Marte ahead of a lot of "closers".
I think hes gonna be huge for roto leagues - vulturing wins and saves all yr with sick %s and k/9.
