Is D.Holland keeper worthy? Projections?

I like catching players before their breakouts. What do you think of D.Holland's 2012 and beyond?

I love Derek Holland. He's just 100 innings or so away from reaching 500 career IP, which is my benchmark for determining when a pitcher 'clicks'. His pure stuff is obvious. He''ll lose his control from time to time, but really improved overall lowering his walk rate to down around 3. I'm slightly bullish on him for this season. I'm generally conservative with my projections, but I think that we're looking at a potential top 25 guy.

16-9, 215 IP, 195 K, 3.45/1.26

He is a nice young player. Very frustrating player the first couple years but last year it looked like he might have figured somethings out. Has the ability and just needs to show that he can do it for a full season. Worth keeping in leagues with lots of keepers or worth a mid to late round pick.

Disclosure: I'm a Ranger homer.

I expect Holland to emerge as a superstar this season.

Holland is a guy who could break out in 2012 and become a very solid pitcher. His 2011 season was good, especially the second half where he improved his K/9, BB/9, and allowed less HRs per IP. He has a few good pitches and keeps the ball on the ground enough to be able to have sustained success in Arlington.

Think of a young Brandon Webb, he's a good ground ball pitcher with two plus pitches. I think you have to keep him if you have garbage elsewhere.

you could make a case for Holland vs Jiminez or saving $6 vs Zimm, but I think I'd look to take Holland later and stick with what you've got

You start 10 Pitchers. I would take him so you'll have solid depth there. Unless what's your other choices?
