Got a quick question for you all. I have to decide to keep between Starlin Castro, Ben Zobrist, Matt Wieters, and Elvis Andrus. I'm kind of leaning towards Castro, but I just need another set of eyes. What do you think? Standard 12 team yahoo keeper league, 5x5. And as always, leave a link!

Wow that's tough. I'd like to keep all of them. Who are your other keepers? I would actually keep Zobrist as he will put up the best numbers and his position eligibility is awesome and very helpful. Let me know your other keepers.
I would say it's between Castro and Wieters, as both are young and able to greatly improve. As a Cubs fan, I would have to say Castro, but that's clearly a personal bias. I agree Zobrist MIGHT put up better numbers, and he plays multiple positions, but he doesn't play C or SS, which are the two shallowest positions.

We have a keeper system where we can keep one player drafted in rounds 1-8, then rounds 9-16, then rounds 17-24. All those players fall in the round 9-16 keeper. I'm keeping Jacoby Ellsbury (rounds 1-8) Stephen Strasburg (rounds 17-24) and Desmond Jennings (FA keeper). Now if I can figure out that last keeper...

I'd say Castro is probably the best bet. He contributes to all 5 categories relatively well for a SS without hurting you, and is only 22 so there is arguably still a decent amount of upside. Andrus is also tempting, but with Jennings and Ellsbury on board you don't necessarily need the additional steals Andrus would provide since you have a nice base there already.

I would definitely take Castro over Andrus. Both give SS, but you don't need Andrus' steals, and Castro has more overall potential to produce in multiple categories.
I really like Wieters, but I would rather lock up a SS than a C. As long as you are in a 1-C league, I think there are enough decent catchers to go around. Maybe you can redraft Wieters or someone similar (like M. Montero?).
I think it comes down to Zobrist v. Castro. I like Zobrist's multi-eligibility and production. I love Casto's SS eligibility, age and long-term potential.
In the end, it depends on who you think will be available in the draft. If you think there will be enough SS's to draft a good one, go with Zobrist and take advantage of position flexibility. If dumping Castro means you are going to have Ian Desmond at SS, then I would definitely keep Castro.
In my keeper league, I would keep Castro over Zobrist.
I would keep Zobrist over the rest in the league you described. One of the top 5 2B and qualifies at OF.
Wieters is nice but I'm not keeping him in a 12 team 1 catcher league.
Castro is getting a lot of hype because he looks to be the 4th best fantasy SS behind Tulo/Hanley/Reyes. But there is a BIG drop after those three and IMO using a 3rd/4th round pick on Castro is waste. Andrus, Rollins, and Cabrera are all very similar to Castro. And in a 12 team league, I think there are enough SS in that category to merit waiting if you cannot land a top 3 guy.
