Would you veto: Mark Teixiera and Francisco Liriano for Ike Davis and J.J. Putz.
We count XBH/H/K/9/OBP extra cats. I can't believe Tex is worth way more. Liriano's value is flat. Ike Davis value is IMO neglible and Putz is a solid closer but I mean seriously....PUtz for Liriano kinda cancels each other out and then to get no upgrade anywhere else. If the Putz side were getting a top prospect like Harper etc I wouldn't object.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
I would certainly not call this vetoable. I don't know why you think Ike had no value when he's clearly capable of .270 with 25-30 homers, but that's your opinion. Closers hold too much value in fantasy, without question, but Liriano is proving himself useless more and more, so I'd rather have Putz.
Maybe the guy trading Tex thinks he's just about done, and in 2-3 years Davis will be objectively better. In a long-term keeper league that's a risky, but not insane thought process. This kind of trade is exactly why I hate the veto system... other managers imposing their own views of players onto my team.
Pretty vetoable to me and I don't even like Tex for this year. Veto or not to veto would depend on how well I know the two owners and how long the league has been active.

I could make a case for this. Especially if the guy think Davis is going to take a step foward this year. Tex is old and likely to regress over the next few years and Liriano is just plain unownable.

While I would much rather have the Tex side of the deal, I would not veto this. Ike Davis was having a fine season before his injury, so maybe the owner receiving him thinks he is going to play a whole season at that level. Liriano is garbage and Putz is serviceable.
I would not veto this. I would try to make trades with the guys giving up Tex though
