I'm excited, would you be?

Postby dominodoug » Sat Feb 11, 2012 1:23 pm

I just made this trade in my H2H weekly points, 8 keeper league with 2 Catchers, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, OF, UTIL, 5Sp's, and 3 RP's.
I'm already keeping Morse, R. Weeks, Beltre, Stubbs, Youkilis, Halladay, and Wilson. I was going to have Ethier as my 8th but made this trade.

Tim Hudson, Kuroda, and Bell for Jay Bruce.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like the other manager isn't so good at fantasy baseball. What a massively lopsided trade.

I made this offer knowing this team had a low amount of solid people to choose from, so really he highly benefits from this trade as do I.

No, pretty much only you benefit from this trade.

Bell is old and nowhere near as good as people think, in my mind (but I'm not averse tt being wrong, haha). Hudson might not be ready until late-April. Kuroda is probably going to get lit up in that park.

You traded 3 highly-questionable, old players for a top, young guy in Bruce. Do you guys not have the option to veto trades or something?

It's moderated by a 3-person committee (that I'm on). It has yet to go through. I'm thinking about tossing in Ackley if it meets resistance.

Edit: Also glad to get the input, I thought this was a good deal for both sides.

You can't veto that deal. Bruce is a big bat young too but he can't hit for a decent average....and almost got benched. So I think you did quite well on taking a chance on him. Your not giving up a ton either.

Highway robbery. Nice work. Hopefully the other parts of the triumvirate don't shoot it down.
