Ken Davidoff of the New York Post reports that Brewers' reliever Francisco Rodriguez is on the list of trade targets for the Mets. The Mets traded K-Rod to the Brewers a year after a tumultuous tenure in New York, but they are now considering bringing him back as they search far and wide for bullpen help. The 29-year-old right-hander has a 4.00 ERA and 32/15 K/BB ratio over 36 innings this season while setting up for John Axford and is still owed roughly half of his $8 million salary. The Mets likely wouldn't have to give up anything significant if they pick up the tab. K-Rod's return could push Frank Francisco back into a set-up role. Rotoworld

What impact would this have if he does end up in a Mets uniform? He could grab ninth inning duties?!
Krod would be in line for the closer job if they make that move I would say based on the "name value" that the Mets like, that they would be paying to bring him in, and the trouble francisco had. Not saying its necessarily a lock or the smartest thing but I believe if they do that deal he gets handed the job (and then its up in the air if he struggles)
Also he would be in line for the post game father punching job, its been vacant since he left

I can see Farnsworth getting a save opp tomorrow for the Rays if the need arises. Rodney used 2 days in a row and 3 in the last 4. Farnsworth not used since last Friday night.
Bell was beyond awful for the first 1.5 months but he has actually been really good since then. It's going to take more than one blown save for him to lose his spot.

5.79 ERA over the past 30 days, though. But yeah definitely a lot better than the start of the year. His peripherals are back, unfortunately he's been terribly unlucky with his HR rate and LOB%, which are tied to one another obviously. If Ozzie has stuck with him through all of that mess, I can't imagine anything else changing his mind.
