Roto league setup

Postby pangbones » Thu Feb 09, 2012 6:40 pm

I've mostly played H2H fantasy baseball. I'm starting up a new roto league, and I'm having trouble settin it up. I've played roto with games limits and innings limits, and I've played without. I'm curious as to what some of you use for limits on games played by postion, innings limits, or games started? Or do you not use them? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I will be charging a fee for free agent pickups.

You need a season long Innings Minimum. This to stop a team from going after all relievers. I have always used 1000. If your Free Agent pool is pretty large, you might want to put a maximum of 1400 Innings Pitched. This will stop streaming. The league I run has eleven Owners and we only use NL players so we don't have a maximum since streaming is not a problem when there are not many FA pitchers available. I don't see a need for limits on postitions played.
